Christmas is just a few days away, and even I can hardly wait, waiting for most of our family to arrive by car. Karen and the boys, Tim and JP will be here on the 26th. Dad (Grandpa) has to teach his classes at the Y, so he drove in on Friday the 20th and left this afternoon the 23rd. It won't be the same without him, but we will survive I'm sure. Dawn and Mark and their family will be spending their Holiday in Chicago. Colleen of course you all know will be spending her heavenly Christmas with Jesus, and the children will be in California.
I want to wish all of you that blog, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Blessed New Year.
May all of you remain in good health and may the ones that are ailing, get better soon.
With all of my love,
Pat

Rain, Rain wonderful Rain
Well we finally got some much needed rain last night, and it was wonderful. It has not rained in the Atlanta area for at least 3 months and it has been scorching weather.
I walked outside this morning, and what a pleasant surprise, it was 87 degrees, compared to the 3 digit temps we've been having. All I want to do all day is sit in the A/C all day, cause it is an effort to move.
Well, the geraniums croaked, I would water them every day, but the sun was so hot, it would dry them up faster than they could drink. Only the strong survive.
Wednesday will be one year since I moved some of the belonging from the house in Florida, and it doesn't show signs of furnishing this place for some time. I am disappointed with all of this, cause I really thought Marcel and I would at least be together in this move. The economy is telling us different.
Sorry I've been such a slacker with blogging, guess my life isn't as interesting as I thought. It has tken me three months to do this blog, maybe it will be another three.

geraniums
They are gasping for water, which I gave them, but they are crying for rain, as we all are.
Our Memorial Day weekend was very nice, at the pool, here at the condo. There is a grill there which Duane successfully maneuvered, roasting corn, hamburgers, bratwurst and hot dogs. Our bellies were full. And everyone had a lot of laughs.
We had an out of town guest who seemed to enjoy the setting, and hopefully he will return soon. The rest of the night was spent watching the big screen in the living room. Ah family and friends are nice to have.
